My Cookbooks!
I'm excited to announce the publication of one of my biggest dreams...a series of cookbooks called:

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Every Recipe Has a Story

I have such a rich heritage of cooking in my family, and I've met so many fascinating people all around the world, and virtually every recipe I make has a story attached to it.  These cookbooks aren't just ordinary collections of recipes...they are storybooks.  You can sit down and read them like a novel, or you can open them up on your kitchen countertop and produce amazing food out of them.  They are packed full of both historical photographs, adventure photos from all around the world, and illustrative photographs to help explain the cooking process for many of the more challenging recipes.  Christmas is right around the corner and these make perfect gifts, practical, interesting, funny, riveting, and sentimental, too!

This first volume covers a lot of basics and will make a great gift for someone just learning how to cook.  However, it quickly progresses to recipes that might sound intimidating even to a well-seasoned home chef, if I weren't right there beside you explaining everything and showing you pictures each step of the way.  It's packed full of stories, also, so it's an entertaining read.  If you think you can burn water, get this book.  If you think you've cooked it all, get this book.  It's unlike any cookbook you've ever used.

Volume 2
The Wandering Foodie
available Nov 30

This second volume contains recipes from the fascinating people I've met in my travels across all seven continents.  You'll see photos from some amazing and exotic places, and you'll learn how to make all those things you've heard of, but wouldn't have a clue how to make, like hummus, babaganouj, tamales, or caipirinhas.  This volume also has a huge section on homemade breads, and makes bread-baking easy for someone just learning how.  Of course, there are travel stories galore, so you won't want to miss this one!

Volume 3
Feeding the Masses
 available in Dec!

I host dinner parties every week, so my notebooks are filled with perfect recipes for entertaining, generally for groups of six or more, but all the way up to 40.  (Yes, you can feed 40 people a multi-course meal out of a tiny kitchen, you just have to know how to do it.)  This book has recipes for feeding crowds for every scenario from an informal movie or football night to a gourmet five-course meal for dozens.

Volume 4
Pumpkins a'Plenty
available in Dec!

I'm legendary for the use of my favorite ingredient: pumpkin.  The culmination for my passion with this delectable gourd comes every autumn, when my home plays host to 40 of my closest friends from all corners of the globe for my annual Fall Dinner Party.  Each year I serve a five-course meal to a hungry crowd, and each course features at least some part of the pumpkin plant.  Full menus from each of these parties are included, and this is serious haute-cuisine.  But you'll also find dozens of creative recipes for using pumpkin in everything from breads to soups to pastas to desserts.
